Back Up

Without some components

UPDATE [7/5/2010]: I spent some time looking at my photo galler code and discovered that with php version changes, a number of things no longer worked in my program. I started fixing them, but when php gave an error for something in my comments! I was thoroughly disgusted and decided to reimplement the thing in python. I've done that, so the basic gallery works, but I haven't tackled the logins yet. I'll put links on this page to the few photo collections I had posted for the public previously.

Unfortunately, due to the last server move, my photo gallery is rather broken. As a matter of fact, my website was broken enough after the move that I haven't even had it publically viewable. I've decided to trim off the broken pages and put the rest up, because it may be awhile before I invest the time to fix or replace all the stuff that's not working like it used to.

Although the photo galleries are not working yet, there are a few new pictures available for your viewing pleasure on jade.zont.org, the new server for this site.

The local IEEE club sponsored an outing to the local wind farm. It was an interesting trip, and I got some good pictures along with pictures of other qualities. Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Early Sabbath morning we climbed the hill at Whitman Mission to see the sun rise. I took way too many pictures that day (the actual count for the day is 114), so I need to sort through them and at least weed out duplications. In the mean time, I'm posting the nine pictures I had developed at may local walmart. Hmm, it seems I've managed to copy over the sunset picture that I had developed. I really hate that. Note to self: mark all photos as read only. Instead, I'm having the next sunset picture (take just after the lost one) stand in for the deleted one.

Ah, the saga continues. It seems that I hadn't erased my flash card yet after all, so I had a backup of image 100 which I accidentally deleted. It is now here along with image 101 which stood in for it yesterday. What great fun. I'm glad it is not lost after all.

Walla Walla

A few of us when for a walk that might be characterized as a very easy hike on Sabbath afternoon. One of our party decided not to cross the creek by jumping from one concrete baffle to the next (baffles pictured in the first few pictures). This led to the rest of us going around the lake in the opposite direction. We came back and visited for awhile, then had sun-down worship. One of our number had to go and, amusingly enough, was replaced by a late arrival. After Sabbath was over, we traveled to a grocery store where we bought ingredients. Most of the pictures are from after the hike. (I didn't keep my camera out and at the ready.)
